The project consists of three distinct buildings arranged around a small central courtyard. At the heart of this courtyard is a gazebo, providing a communal space for relaxation and protection from rain. The plot in Masans, Chur, provides an opportunity to design a living environment.
Within the separate buildings, the central spaces are designed for communal living, featuring double-height rooms with shared kitchens and living areas. Galleries on the upper floor allow residents to enjoy the shared spaces from a more private vantage point.
This project aspires to create a harmonious living environment that respects individuality while fostering community and celebrating the connection between architecture, nature, and people. The design draws inspiration from Rudolf Olgiati’s House Schorta and its interplay of shared and private spaces.
