Six Houses On Three Levels

  • Masans, Chur
  • Three houses are connected on each of the north and south sides through their ground floors, with shared entrances located within the living rooms of neighboring houses. All six houses have a terrace on the roof that are used for gardening space entirely.
  • The facades are designed with vertical wooden beams, transparent glass in the central court to encourage interaction, and opacified glass in the alley to ensure privacy while inviting access to the court, creating a dynamic between privacy and shared rooms, far and narrow.
  • The arrangement of the six houses generates a shared central court acting as a communal terrace, layered on natural terrain. Private terraces, multiple entry points, and southern positioning maximize sunlight, integrating intimacy, community, and connection to landscape in a single-family home concept.
