Situated Ground House

- “Situated Ground House” is a multi-generational house for 20 inhabitants. The timber frame construction embeds the complex within the neighboring houses.
- Its immediate proximity is comprised of the foreand background. To bypass the road without a sidewalk, pedestrians can walk through the park strip.
- A loose courtyard with a central hut forms the social core for the inhabitants, enabling spontaneous encounters also in winter. Yet, foreground and background are deliberately unresolved, unfolding differently through each observer’s position on site.
