Public Drawing – Where the Wind Gathers

  • Waldlabor
  • Channeled through two wind canals, a breeze enters the forest-clearing. Along its way, it gathers leaves, twigs and seeds before crossing the open space, where it dries the soil and momentarily erases life.
  • Human activity adds new life and leaves traces, which the wind in turn picks up and magnifies. Having crossed the small river, it finally slows down, depositing its mixed cargo. In these layered piles, air and moisture create nurturing soil, allowing young plants to emerge and flourish.
  • This wind’s journey shows how it can nurture new life. Yet when shaped by the trampled ground left by human presence, it can become a force that unsettles the very landscape it helps renew.
