Public Drawing – Printed by the River
- Waldlabor
- Located between a resting area and an eroded cliff, the river shapes a web of life
around it.
Animal footprints near the riverbank show that wildlife relies on the river as a water
source and habitat — At the same time, humans are drawn to the river, finding
comfort in the water’s presence.
- The soil near the river is moist and fertile, supporting rich vegetation, whereas the soil
farther away is drier and more compact.
- A section view reveals the connection between the river and groundwater, with trees
adapting by developing two types of roots — longer roots near the river to access
surface water and deeper roots further away to reach groundwater.
