Public Drawing – Intersection Of Use
- Waldlabor
- The site is an intersection of different uses, such as recreation and play in the woods, sports
on the soccer field, movement on various paths, and agricultural work, which can be seen in
the different compositions of the soil and its interaction with (rain) water.
- The forest can be thought of as a sponge: the majority of the rainwater that infiltrates into the
soil is absorbed by grasses and shrubs in the upper layers of the soil, and a very small
amount reaches the deeper layers of the soil, where it is available to trees or recharges the
groundwater.
- The slightly elevated soccer field, with its artificial lighting around the fence, sprinkler system,
and drainage system, shows a more urban interaction with water.
