Public Drawing – Hidden Water
- Waldlabor
- Our site shows a spectrum of different forms of water storage,
at the centre of which is the man-made overflow basin of the
rainwater retention system. The agricultural land with
compacted soil regulates the water absorption of the cultivated
plants and the asphalt only allows water to penetrate
through cracks or forms puddles on top.
- The saturated
soil above the water tank contrasts with the natural
infiltration of the meadow landscape. The forest
ecosystem stores much of the moisture in the canopy
and leaf layer.
- The built infrastructure impacts the
environment and creates shifts in the behavior of
the plant, animal and human actors.
