Public Drawing – Fleeting Motions – Lasting Traces

  • Waldlabor
  • A lone figure walks with their dog along the river, their footsteps blending in with the rustling current. Across the water a parallel path mirrors theirs; both main trails connected by a solid concrete bridge spanning the river valley.
  • Below, two narrow trails follow the river’s edge - one thick with mud and heavy footprints, the other soft with leaves, recently crossed by a deer.
  • As the trees have become sick, some have been cut down and reveal the damaged landscape, others have left traces on the bridge by either falling on or growing over it. The distant tapping of a woodpecker echoes through the trees, merging with the steady murmur of the flowing river.
