Public Drawing – Afterlife

- Marked by a storm now passed, this spot inside the woods of the Waldlabor bears witness to the force of wind. Off the gravel-paved path, dead trees forge a clearing.
- Scrub and wild berries thrive in new light. The extinguished fireplace and trampled foot path disclose the increased human presence invited by the openness, which however increases the vulnerability of that within.
- This tradeoff between life and death defines the forest’s cycle.
