Public Drawing – A Slow Beginning
- Waldlabor
- In the depths of the Hönggerberg woods, a secluded pond lies hidden, the origin of a stream that
begins here and flows deeper into the forest, splits into two and finds its end at the water tank of the
Hönggerberg and the suburbs of Affoltern.
- Surrounded by trees that muffle the world outside, only the
distant roar of planes and the sharp echoes of gunfire from a nearby shooting range seep through. A
path leads to the pond, offering city dwellers a brief escape of the busy city life to perform activities like
jogging, cycling and strolling, before continuing deeper into the woods.
- In still pockets of water frogs,
dragonflies, and newts thrive among floating moss, while in other parts, the water begins to flow,
slipping away into the stream. The pond, like outstretched fingers, reaches toward the forest, inviting
those who stop to linger, as they too reach further into the quiet woods.
