The Onion House project is a unique architectural endeavor that draws inspiration from Tita Carloni's Casa Forni. It incorporates a layered spatial concept combined with a modular design framework. Inspired by Tita Carloni's Casa Forni, its design begins with a simple idea: a grid of 1.2m x 1.2m.
This grid allows for the creation of concentric spatial layers, where public and common areas are thoughtfully wrapped around private living spaces, mimicking the layered structure of an onion. Encircling the house is a pathway, not just a passage but a place of exchange.
In addition to its spatial arrangement, the Onion House is designed as a community-oriented space. It features a multimedia library and a public playground, which are accessible to neighbors and passersby, promoting a sense of inclusion and interaction within the local context.
