Light, Space and Community

- Masans, Chur
- Each house has four apartments spread over two floors, each of which can accommodate three people. The houses consist of a combination of concrete and brick construction. The windows are fitted with wooden frames that have been carefully detailed. The roof consists of wooden slats and is covered with a seam roof.
- Light and space should create a sense of community in my project for twenty-four people. As you enter the building, you reach the central core of the building, which stands out with its striking volume and creates a connection to the core opposite. The openings play a crucial role in my project.
- My intention was to integrate the two houses harmoniously into the neighborhood to promote a sense of community. In my 1:50 model, I placed particular emphasis on the openings and the atmosphere in the room, as they promote light, spatial perception, and a sense of community.
