House between Trees

- In times when the growing pressure of urban densification reaches places like Oberwil’s historic village centre, trees - essential elements of human well-being - are increasingly pushed out of our cityscapes. „House between Trees“ tries to do different.
- The building enters a close engagement with the trees, its volumes placed precisely between hoary fruit trees of the “Kuenze Wiese”.
- Its filigree wooden structure and wide glass surfaces let, regulated by vertical louvres, sunlight pass the living spaces and reach the leavy crowns, allowing an immediate coexistence of trees and human housing.
