House Between City and Garden

- Our plot is situated at the intersection of this path and the next street. The housing complex is integrated in this context. Its elongated shape stretches along the lower limits of the plot, facing the main street, which gives it greater height in this direction.
- The core of the building hosts the common rooms as well as the staircase. The housing units are designed in a gradation of the privacy. Each entrance opens on a kitchen and “Stube”, shared by two families.
- As important as private areas, the common spaces aim to encourage exchange between the inhabitants, both of knowledge and resources. This intergenerational housing complex in Chur is thoughtfully designed to integrate in its urban environment while offering a lively garden on the opposite side.
