Heavy and Light

  • Masans, Chur
  • The House "Heavy and Light" redefines multigenerational living by uniting the principles of community and sustainability. It is based on the concept of contrasts — “Heavy” and “Light”— which play a central role in both materiality and spatial organization.
  • On the third floor of the concrete core lies the heart of the house: an open communal space with four kitchens and a dining area. From the communal space, there is direct access to a spacious rooftop terrace located on the roofs of the wooden apartments.
  • Through its clear division of materials and functions, this concept not only promotes multigenerational living but also encourages ecological awareness. "Heavy and Light" creates a living environment that unites stability, lightness, and nature with community and individuality.
