Haus zum Sonnenfroh

- Oberwil
- Built between a retaining wall and a flying buttress this 15th century craftsman house tells the story of a dense urban fabric. On a slender floor plan the house rises four stories high against the 14m stone wall.
- To gain more space, safe taxes and due to structural purposes, the house was built with two cantilevers one on the first and one on the second floor. Built in in a typical half-timbered structure out of locally sourced materials the house blends into its surroundings.
