Haus Mirage

  • Masans, Chur
  • “Haus Mirage” stands as a reinterpretation of traditional Engadine architecture, seamlessly blending the past with a vision for contemporary living. Inspired by the “Chasa Padrun”, a historic Sgraffito house in Andeer, the project translates the ornamental beauty of Engadine plasterwork.
  • The staggered windows serve a dual purpose, creating functional niches on the interior that can act as window seats, desks, or places of rest. On the exterior, the wooden panels filter light, casting intricate patterns onto the facade and transforming dynamically with light and shadow.
  • Casa Mirage ultimately redefines the concept of home, balancing private retreats with vibrant communal spaces. Its layered facade and dynamic interiors ensure that it is not just a house, but a living framework for connection, adaptability, and architectural heritage reimagined.
