Located in the village of Masans, a suburb of Chur, the “Haus für Zwanzig” reimagines collective living with a focus on social, economic, and environmental sustainability. Comprising three distinct buildings that accommodate up to eight residents each.
The three building volumes are strategically positioned on the site to form a generous shared space that serves as the heart of the community. The placement of the buildings responds to the sloped terrain of the plot, with varying heights bridged by communal stairs that double as informal seating.
The “Haus für Zwanzig” exemplifies how thoughtful design can create an inclusive and functional environment that encourages community while respecting individuality, blending seamlessly with its natural and urban surroundings.
