Furniture – Rewritten Flow
- Hönggerberg, Zürich
- At the intersection of Mittelwaldstrasse and Kappeliholzstrasse lies one of the most distinctive points in the Forest Laboratory. The terrain here forms a ridge, west of it, the area remains relatively level, while to the east, it gradually slopes downward.
- Our installation is designed to collect rainwater and make its path through the space both visible and audible. A simple roof with a gentle slope gathers precipitation and directs it into a system of gutters. These gutters are made of wood, arranged at different heights.
- This creates flowing movements and water sounds that attract attention. Between the supporting elements, there are seating areas that invite visitors to rest and observe. Even during dry weather, water remains in the system, supporting local wildlife and encouraging biodiversity.
