Furniture – Moisture Shelter
- Hönggerberg, Zürich
- The Moisture Shelter is located in a transitional area where forest clearings, recreational and play spaces, agricultural fields, and a football pitch intersect. The site is accessible via both formal and informal paths that guide visitors and water alike through the landscape.
- The roof consists of V-shaped panels made from nylon netting arranged at two different angles. The 30° panels are ideal for collecting dew and evaporated moisture, while the steeper 70° panels better capture fog droplets. These differing inclinations maximize the efficiency of water harvesting.
- The Moisture Shelter makes water visible and experiential. It transforms moisture from a passive background element into something to be observed, used, and appreciated as part of a larger, often unnoticed, ecological cycle.
