Inspired by the adjacent buildings and the concept of collective living on multiple levels, this project aims to unite intimate spaces with ample shared areas. Interaction among residents is fostered through a nuanced arrangement of private and public spaces.
The public atelier and dining room feature a more transparent construction that blurs the boundary between indoors and outdoors, offering the possibility to extend the space to the outside. This area acts as a cross-section of all the apartments and can be opened up to serve as an alley.
The idea of collective living is therefore not treated as a local problem but rather as a universal solution that can be applied in various contexts. Additionally, the design is meant to evolve over the years, as the aging of the wood will contribute to its unique character and charm.
