The house I designed, "Converge House", seamlessly integrates private residential areas, public living spaces, and a central open terrace, creating a space that meets individual needs while encouraging community interaction. The residential area follows a mixed-living model, accommodating people of all age groups.
Three distinct housing types cater to diverse living needs. Slightly elevated windows ensure privacy while allowing ample natural light into each room. Outside the private spaces, shared buffer zones provide opportunities for interaction among residents of the same building.
The house rises naturally with the terrain, with a central open terrace and staircase that harmonizes with the landscape, seamlessly connecting public and private areas. The terrace serves as the heart of the community, acting as both a gathering space and a "neighborhood park."
