Case Study – Wohnhaus mit Atelier in Riehen – 1980
- Riehen
- Even before entering we are greeted with an unapologetic mount of shapes, colors and materials. Stepping inside, you feel like you walked right into one of M.C.Eschers drawings: staircases going sideways, holes on the upper floss surrounded by bridges, which further express the interconnectivity.
- This house doesn't shy away from material richness as well. Concrete fundaments, brick walls and wooden interior further add into the sensory experience.
- Despite all this, these elements form a language among themselves, which all make sense in their own world.
