Case Study – Wohnhaus Missionsstrasse
- Basel
- The once seemingly shy backhouse gained confidence and is not hiding anymore after its transformation into a private home through Bucher Bründler Architekten. Every morning when Mr.
- Bründler washes his face in the reused horse trough he sees the sky in the reflection of the water. This is because the façade was opened with radicality to enlighten the interior.
- A circular cut through the partition ensures that the house can capture the light from outside. It responds to the environment by playing with windows as threshold spaces that rethink the within and without of the house.
