Case Study – Wohnhaus Missionsstrasse
- Basel
- The project borrows from the past to build the present. The original stone and brick shell, together with the wooden beams, preserve historical traces.
- Upon this fabric, new elements are layered: exposed concrete stairs and volumes convey strength, echoing the mass of the stone; oak defines window frames and built-in furniture; light spruce clads walls and ceilings, creating visual continuity.
- The result is a dialogue between memory and contemporaneity.
