Case Study – House for an Art Collector – 1985

  • The house is made from a combination of different materials responding to its dual setting. Reinforced concrete defines the entrance and the basement of the house, reflecting the direct view of the street and the urban environment.
  • In contrast, prefabricated concrete and pine slats form a modular, lightweight structure that house the living areas, echoing the simplicity of the surrounding meadows and fields.
  • This duality in design merges two different worlds, the rural and the urban, into a single building that creates a direct and gradual connection between them.
