Case Study – Haus zur Mohrhalde

  • An artist’s villa spanning an immense canvas where every free space is used for artworks. Through its large atelier and projecting loggia, the house stages encounters with the landscape as subject for paintings.
  • With an enormous window, the atelier channels balanced daylight for painting, while the loggia frames atmospheres that inspire new visions. The building, created for Hans Sandreuter, serves as a private work and living space while reflecting the character of its owner.
  • Here, architecture becomes a translation of Sandreuter’s vision into build form.
