Case Study – Einfamilienhaus Angensteinerstrasse 15
- Basel
- A house full of thresholds, which do not simply divide. They echo, blur, and bind together the hidden orders and layers of the house, each one concealing another life within.
- The façade is a threshold between the city and intimacy, whilst the veranda is one, between inside and garden. Light wells down the staircase through the skylight, creating a climatic threshold that shifts the air and warmth throughout the house, illuminating it from within.
- Here, thresholds shape how climate, materials and lives meet, revealing architecture as a lived, layered entity that is constantly in flux.
