- A house as thin as paper. «Dalbehysli» embodies centuries of densification in Basel’s old town. The area of St. Alban-Vorstadt has changed constantly since roman times.
- Craftspeople once defined daily life here, from woodworkers to papermakers. Continuous changes in usage and construction gave rise to a distinctive typology: two houses built aligned on elongated plots, forming the unique urban fabric visible today.
- Like paper, the building wears, decays and is renewed through use. Its fragility revealing the strength of constant change.
