Public Drawing Workshop
“Learning from Vedute in Rome” at MAXXI Museum
From 3 to 9 February 2019 the MAXXI Museum in Rome hosted “Learning from Vedute in Rome” an international drawing workshop involving 30 students from the ETH in Zurich, Tokyo Tech, the University of Tsukuba, the University of Camerino and Cornell University. Through study of the great masters of Roman vedutismo, the students analysed the piazzas and streets of Rome, producing a series of collective drawings featuring the city’s historic spaces and the activities they host in the contemporary era. The works have been then exhibited in the museum’s gallery, within the ambit of the exhibition “The Street. Where the world is made.”
