Case Study – Villa Ber-Scott – I. Lamunière et P. Devanthéry, 2004
- Chêne-Bougeries, Genève
- The villa Ber Scott is located in the Geneva suburb of Chêne- Bougeries, from where you can reach the city center and the highway in 10 minutes by car. Once returned home, the house can be anonymously entered through the garage.
- The very closed facade with only a few openings, as well as the fact that next to the garage also the pool area is integrated in the body of the building, give little insight into the life in the house. So the villa follows a clear concept of privacy, connected also with a certain lifestyle.
- The boundary between public and private is clearly drawn here and defined by fences, hedges and other greenery. This leaves little room for transitions and adaptability.
