Steel Frame Apartment

  • This projects provides comfortable living environment for up to six families, each consisting of 2-4 members. All the units are separated to ensure the families's privacy, but simultaneously connected through the outdoor terraces, which act as collective gathering spaces.
  • In contrast to the limited living area, enough light and air should be brought by maximising the windows, especially in the living room, where most of family members' collective activities take place.
  • The steel frame allows to free the facade and walls from and structural elements, thus allowing large open windows and light. Another consequence of the steel frame is the open floor plan and the high adaptability of the apartments for future uses.
