Quartier Helianthus

  • Aïre, Geneva
  • Quartier Helianthus consists of a public daycare center, a wing designed for seniors and an a wing designed for families up to 4 people. The goal is to create an exchange of the different age groups but still provide enough privacy.
  • The Dimond-shaped floor plan and the windows in the corners allow a large view of the outside world and at the same time few angles of view into the apartment. This way seniors can enjoy their privacy and at the same time be connected to the outside world.
  • The two wings are lined up to the sun and create different courtyards, one more secluded for the seniors, one for families and children and another playground for the daycare center located at the bottom to create circulation and life throughout the block.
