Together

  • Germaniastrasse, 8006 Zürich
  • While analyzing the area, it becomes apparent that it is a neighbourhood with many families. A primary school is only a few minutes away. The location is usually rather expensive and many families cannot afford it. I, therefore, decided to build a multi-family house that is geared towards families with small children.
  • The apartments' partly inclined panoramic window fronts and balconies are oriented towards the evening sun. The light-flooded maisonette apartments, designed for families with children, deliver multiple characteristics of a single-family home. Communal spaces, such as the terrace, kids' playroom or kitchen encourage interaction and socialisation.
  • The building stands on parallel bearing walls. The building is a mixture of wood and concrete. The facades and floors are clad with wooden beams. The focus of the complex is to promote interaction. Whether through access, cooking or playing, by encouraging many to come together, a new type of house is being created.
