Maisonettes Rigiblick

- The project represents an attractive living complex for young adults such as students, couples and families that would otherwise not be able to afford a home in the neighbourhood. This is achieved by creating public spaces, shared facilities and compact floor plans.
- In the main courtyard in the middle, which is also from where the apartments can be accessed, the pathway offers different platforms at different heights for public use, while one of them even leads to a café. In the student housing, the small living space is compensated with a maisonette typology, generous balconies and high ceilings.
- The construction consists of concrete slabs with columns that reach into the apartment. This allows for storey-high windows to be placed around the building. The front-mounted and perforated aluminium façade, ensure that light can shine through, while at the same time the interior spaces are not visible from the outside.
