Urban Gardeners Community

- The idea of the project is to create a calm and protected garden surrounded by family homes. The six housing units all have direct access to the garden. The aim of the project is to create a sustainable community that uses nature as a renewable resource, while not damaging it, as well as a place of residence.
- In this project, the garden itself is the physical manifestation of living sustainably. This ideology is further supported with the implementation of solar panels on the roofs, the usage of sustainable materials for the buildings, urban farming in the city, the lack of space for cars and the general underlying idea of self-sufficiency.
- The settlement has decided not to intervene with the ground it is built upon. Therefore all buildings consist of a light wood construction and stand on special point foundations. At the end of their life cycle, the buildings can be easily dismantled and recycled.
