Public Drawing – Edgewood

  • Waldlabor
  • A seemingly untouched area with tall spruce trees, creating an air of mystery. Weathered wood shelters wildlife, including evening bats. Despite noise from a nearby shooting range, the site remains accessible and serves as both an entrance and a meeting point for guided tours.
  • The site is regulated to prevent fires and protect the forest. Its secluded yet accessible nature makes it a space of duality—both mysterious and structured. Visitors interact with it differently, some respecting the rules, while others disregard its fragile balance.
  • This space illustrates how perception shapes engagement with landscapes. It balances accessibility and preservation, showing how architecture and regulation can protect ecosystems while maintaining their aura of mystery, fostering both curiosity and responsibility.
