- Castasegna, Graubünden
- Villa Garbald, originally designed by Gottfried Semper as a private residence, has evolved into a site of scientific significance. Semper was commissioned by Garbald after their meeting at ETH Zürich, with Garbald recognizing Semper's expertise.
- The villa’s role in education deepened with Agostino Garbald’s family, who shared a passion for scholarly pursuits, fostering an intellectual environment. After their passing, ETH Zürich acquired the villa, embarking on a renovation that included the addition of the "Roccolo" building, further cementing its legacy.
- Today, Villa Garbald operates as a seminar center, continuing its tradition of fostering scientific knowledge and education.
