Furniture – Centipede

  • Hönggerberg, Zürich
  • Centipede is an installation designed to define a new space on an open, undefined site, inspired by the tree stumps present in the area. The modular structure, segmented yet connected by roots, incorporates local materials like ergonomic handles to create a "window" to the forest.
  • Its flexible design allows the installation to stretch and link the stumps or fold back, mimicking the surrounding environment. This adaptability enables various user groups to define their own spaces within the forest.
  • With minimal impact on the forest ground, Centipede offers multiple possibilities while preserving the ecosystem and respecting the natural surroundings.
