Casa Vista

  • Viganello, Lugano
  • With this project, I aimed to create a house with numerous meeting points and physical interactions, while ensuring privacy. To achieve this, I placed the entrance on the first floor where the common space is located, requiring inhabitants to pass through this area to access their apartments.
  • The staircase, is constructed of glass to allow visual connections between apartments. In contrast to the transparent living room and kitchen, the bathrooms and bedrooms are designed to be very private. Additionally, the staircase functions as an atrium, letting light filter through and becoming the central feature of the house.
  • The house's design is inspired by Casa Rocca Vispa, incorporating large openings, terraces, and prominent stairs. However, unlike Casa Rocca Vispa, which is strikingly assertive in its natural setting, this house is seamlessly integrated into its environment.
