Linking Home
- Viganello, Lugano
- The housing complex consists of four houses arranged around a central communal space, the living room. This living room leads to varying levels of communal life: the very open living room, the semi-open balcony used as a dining room, the corridor in the house, and finally, the most private spaces—the bedroom and the bathroom.
- Transitions and intersections in this house are designed using windows, façade elements, height differences, and visual axes. These transitions are also felt physically through temperature changes, with the most private rooms being the best insulated.
- The apartments are minimal, but the communal space is maximised, giving each resident a place to feel at home.
