Casa Cammino

- The shared housing development Casa Cammino is located on a steep former agricultural site overlooking Lugano. The main objective of connecting diverse groups of people through shared living and co-working spaces is achieved through multiple dynamic layers of privacy and public space. The building gradual increase the privacy towards the rear.
- The central atrium serves as the main public space, complementing the shared living areas. The various types of glass used allow for the regulation of interaction between residents. Additionally, the atrium connects to the existing path leading up the hill. This new pathway remains closed at night and opens according to residents' initiative.
- Through its sloped design, green roof, and wooden facade, the project aims to blend seamlessly into the inclined landscape and the existing built environment.
