Complesso di tre Case

  • Viganello, Lugano
  • The "Complesso di tre case" is a housing complex consisting of three houses located around an inner courtyard, inhabited by three generations under one roof. Each house is divided into two units connected through a common dining area, which also serves as a distribution space to access their private spaces.
  • The construction and room layout follow the traditional structure of a Rustico house. The ground floor is designated for living and working activities, while the first floor accommodates the bedrooms. Traditional elements like thick stone walls not only serve as insulation but also provide seating in niches.
  • The gallery and its connecting stairs create a vertical and dynamic communal space that fosters interaction among the residents.
