Public Drawing – HXE Grassland

  • ETH Campus Honggerberg, Zürich
  • The HXE Grassland is defined mainly through the users, functions and program of it's surroundings. Due to it's location between the bicycle parking and the HE building, connecting the main road of the Hönggerberg-campus and the student village, It is characterized as a transitional space.
  • The HXE grassland Is defined by external aspects such as people passing the site, the time of the day and parties in the HXE-building and through the usage linked to such. Students, animals and the weather as well as their respective behavior have left their mark on the site.
  • This is visible in the human-made path cutting through the site or the worn-out pebble-stone floor covering and further more also in the changing usage throughout the day influencing the direction of passing people.
