Public Drawing – HPI Plaza

  • ETH Campus Honggerberg, Zürich
  • The HPI plaza is a small space located behind the HPI building on the ETH Hönngerberg campus, enclosed by buildings and a massive concrete structure.
  • Limited access results in few people frequenting the plaza; some use the temporary wooden structure to take a break and the Waldlabor uses it as a starting point for their hikes. Noise pollution from the surrounding areas is significant, but its sources are not visible due to the hidden location of the plaza.
  • Vegetation serves as a natural habitat for birds. the site and its surrounding structures exhibit noticeable damage from exposure to environmental factors, and it appears to be poorly maintained.
